Lesson #12: The Fruit of the Spirit

Read Galatians 5:16-18… Our spirit is against our flesh. Our spirit and flesh have completely different desires.

Read Galatians 4:8-9… Who is winning the battle in your life?..Spirit or Flesh?

Ask about bad habits: Is there a sin or habit that you wish to get rid of so that the spirit can fully take over?

Ask about your life without the Spirit: What would your life look like completely without the Spirit?

Ask about life without the Flesh: What would your life look like completely without the Flesh?

Read Galatians 5:19-21… What other sinful desires could join the list? What is your list?

Read Galatians 5:22… These fruits are gifts from God.

Ask about producing fruit: The Holy Spirit in you will produce a lot of fruit. What of the fruit are you best at? Which ones could use some more work?

Read Romans 12:6-8… We are all gifted in a variety of different ways.

Ask about your fruits: Out of all that are listed, which ones are yours?

Ask about using your gifts: What are some ways you can use these gifts for God’s glory?

Talk about statistics: Sadly, about 50-80% of Christians after high school drift away from their faith, practically forgetting about their morals.

Talk about actively using your gifts: Make sure you actively use your gifts and fruits toward others. This in one way you can see the power of God and have a reason for yourself to why you should follow Him.
